Their World~

Your world of bigotry
Your world lacks freedom
That is not the world I live in
That is your world, it is not mine

Your world of fear and hate
You tear down and berate
Forcing us to sit and contemplate
As you sit around and wait
For those you deem less than
To sit and take your bait
That is not the world I live in
That is your world, it is not mine

Your prejudice and bigotry
Filled with such disgrace
Truly sickens thee
You see a small child and presume
her skin is of another race
There is only one race to grace this place
It is called the human one
That is not the world I live in
That is your world, it is not mine

What would you know of equality?
For it is you, not I, who lacks knowledge
You, lacking empathy for
those condemned for being born
Forced to live a life of solitude and isolation
Basic human rights stripped away
Taken to the grave
Kidnapping one's freedom
And making them your slave
That is not the world I live in
That is your world, it is not mine

Crimson lying on the ground
Spread out for all to see
What have these beautiful humans done to you?
Why can't you just let them be?
You push them to the ground
For fear of their capabilities
You tied them up, keeping their hearts bound
Their souls crying out for tranquility
That is not the world I live in
That is your world, it is not mine

Redemption is not far behind, you will reap
The racism that you show
You will reap the consequences of all the seeds
That you sow
Human beings frightened to walk  the streets
Turning corners. not knowing if it is
You or I they will meet
This is not the world I live in
This is your world, that will never be mine

But they're coming for you, to take what's theirs
Freedom and hope, in a world that still cares
That will be my world, not yours, it is mine
and theirs..
